If you have trouble registering then email support @ iforpowell.com and I can force things though.

The system is not that good but I prefer to spend my time working on IpBike than trying to set up an alternative. It is at least good at keeping the spam away.

It is advisable to 'copy' before you try and post as the captcha stuff is a bit to agresive and the back buttone is not working for everyone.  You can at least then paste and have another go.

Hi ifor, I have been really waiting for the good weather to finally come so I could try out your software. There are a lot of commercial ones, but I am more than happy to support a fellow biker, especially one who is so dedicated to support.
I see that you answer everyone and try hard to always add new features.

Here is this for example. I am blessed with a Galaxy Note 2, using it with a Suunto mini usb for ANT. I have ANT cad and speed sensor and have a polar Bluetooth HRM.

I am so happy that you added support for this as I am rather large and am sure the ANT HRM (Wahoo) wouldn't fit me asper size.

Anway I used to bike a long time ago and am coming back after many years of omition. Your software will help motivate me on working hard.

I received the Suuto last week by post and today I decided to go to work on my bike. I want to do this regularly as I am really really out of shape. You will see this from my strava upload.

Anyway back to why I am writing. I wanted to give feedback about the bluetooth HRM compatibility. It seems to be working fine except it recorded a max HR of 212. Is that even possible? I dont know much about this except that max HR start around 220 and only goes down with age.
Well I am 38 and quite smoking last year (after 20 years), so I also am fat, 150kg to be precise, 190cm.

Anyway here is the upload. http://app.strava.com/activities/ipbike_2-49266819?utm_campaign=club_share&utm_content=6732&utm_medium=widget&utm_source=www.iforpowell.com

Thanks for the feedback. Glad to know it's basically working for you.

Some people could get 212. I expect it's a stray spike in your case though as it's well above where you were before and after. I don't do any filtering as the Polar gives ma a value that is already filtered and ready for display. You can see that one bad point looks to of lead to a higher reported value that then decays down.

This may be worth reading for general info an spikes from a HRM.

I installed the beta for bluetooth HRM IpSensorMan but I cannot add the bluetooth device.

The message ANT USB HOST capable (see attached screenshot) keeps popping up and not letting me use IpSensorMan without installing ANT USB Service. So I installed the ANT USB Service, but the message still pops up and will not let me get to the point where I can add my bluetooh device and connect my BT Polar HRM.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 and no ANT+ devices.

Thanks in advance.

I have just uploaded a new version which hopefully fixes this. Feedback very apreciated as I don't have a none ANT phone and the emulator is not much good as it has no USB HOST mode and no BlueTooth...

Just about to start using the BT version for my daily commute and a quick road test indicates all good. Samsung S3, Polar BT HRM and uploading to Strava was easy end to end.

Ifor - is there anything you want me to look out for specifically (in terms of testing and reliability) in using it as a BETA release?

There is nothing I am aware of that is giving trouble with the latest beta version. Just use it as normal and let me know if anything gives trouble. Current plan is to put it into the next main release I do of IpSensorMan.

OK I have published a version of IpSensorMan onto Google play with the Bluetooth HRM support. Any issues still feel free to post.

Received ANT+ USB today, tested both Polar iWL (works) and ST HRM2 (does not work). Tested as HRM1 and unknown.

So I am happy now, hope you can get ST HRM2 working also.
