Added a blog section to the site.  I need to sort out the templates a bit as things are not looking so good.

The system is not that good but I prefer to spend my time working on IpBike than trying to set up an alternative. It is at least good at keeping the spam away.

It is advisable to 'copy' before you try and post as the captcha stuff is a bit to agresive and the back buttone is not working for everyone.  You can at least then paste and have another go.

I started a ride, paused at official ride start, then resumed. The HRM wasn't doing anything so mid-ride I stopped the ride and sensors, then started sensors again and trip auto started, fixing HRM sensor. I planned to merge the rides later. I paused this second ride at official finish, then resumed to travel home.

I merged the rides and found later after uploading to Strava the pause at the official finish didn't appear to happen. I appeared not to stop at all while riding buddy appeared to set off later.

cheers, G

I saw this behaviour again today too. It was fixed a long time ago but is now broken again

Also, for bonus points, I've just looked at the Plot for this merged ride- it shows two plots, one for each ride, both starting at '0'.

The original problem I reported aaages ago is still fine, in that the gap between the two rides is still accounted for ok after the merge.

I merged three rides together into one today (two merges) and there is no gap at all between them and there should have been. The Strava Flyby is way out.

Looks like the merge ride facility is broken again. On a recent ride which I merged from 3 parts I found that after uploading to Strava I was not shown as riding with the people I rode with. Looking on Strava in time view it appears there was a much longer gap between 2 sections of my ride than there actually was. I rode to the meeting point on my own, waited for 5 minutes then set off with the group. Strava says I was stopped for 10 minutes and so shows me as riding 5 minutes behind the rest of the group for the remainder of the ride. Looking at the laps in IpBike the start time of my ride sections are correct.

I've also noticed that if I trim dead time off the start and finish of separate rides before merging them then IpBike seems to add time between the segments so that I am shown on Strava as riding with others for the first part of a ride but post merge I am shown as leaving the café way behind them using flyby.

Does IpBike not use the timestamps from GPS when recording location as I've noticed that if my S5 starts in safe mode due to the case holding buttons in and I restart it the time and date on my phone when restarting into normal mode are often wrong. This can lead to me recording a ride but it being shown as happening months ago.
