The system is not that good but I prefer to spend my time working on IpBike than trying to set up an alternative. It is at least good at keeping the spam away.
It is advisable to 'copy' before you try and post as the captcha stuff is a bit to agresive and the back buttone is not working for everyone. You can at least then paste and have another go.

Are there two zoom levels in this new feature- 15 and 16? 16 is reasonable for examining an upcoming turn.
Problem is I have to duck under 15kph to get zoom level 16. I need to see the upcoming turn at higher speeds than this? 20kph at least maybe? 15kph is almost stationary. I'm no speedy person either.
Cheers, G

What logic are you using here Ifor?

Well it's basically just adjusting the zoom level when you go above a threshold or drop back down below it. There is some gap between the back words and forwards. If you get to double the threshold it will adjust again and the same thing in theory for 4 times but if your looking at the map at that speed your braver than me.
The actually threshold was just the first arbitrary value in m/s I tried and it seamed to work for me so I did not mess with it. I may look to add something in to let you change it but then I have to mess around with the units conversion to get back to m/s which is what IpBike has internally.

I tried autozoom this weekend on a long ride having not used it for a while. It worked well!
If I understand it correctly, it doesn't go to a specific zoom level for a specific speed range, it just clicks the zoom up or down for each transition to a new speed range? This is how it appeared to work if I manually changed the zoom.
Is the autozoom therefore affected by a problem with the initial zoom of the map when the trip starts? If I'm looking around at the map/route at zoom level 14 or 15, then later start the trip, does it start from this value as the close up value instead of 17 as I'd prefer?
If this is correct - sorry I haven't tried this much - I think it would benefit from having a memory of a preferred initial state. When the trip stops should it record the zoom level for 0mph, then change the map to this zoom level at next trip start (or rather sensor start/stop) to preserve the preferred autozoom experience? Add in some extra fun for how to accomodate this if the bike is already moving when the sensors start, or if the bike is still moving when sensors stop (current zoom won't be at 0mph).
Cheers.
