Added a blog section to the site.  I need to sort out the templates a bit as things are not looking so good.

The system is not that good but I prefer to spend my time working on IpBike than trying to set up an alternative. It is at least good at keeping the spam away.

It is advisable to 'copy' before you try and post as the captcha stuff is a bit to agresive and the back buttone is not working for everyone.  You can at least then paste and have another go.

I failed to restart a trip I'd manually paused when I should have done. Is there any way I can manually log the distance to keep my totals correct? I know the exact route so could even generate a gpx track if I could import that.

Hello Chris,

if you have the gpx file you can import it..go to rides menu...rides...import...

after this you can join the 2 rides

Hi Rapasave, thanks,

Do you know if this needs timestamps in the GPX file? I wasn't recording so can only generate the GPX from a map, but that doesn't import, an of course doesn't contain timestamps. This is interpreting your instructions as Ride history->All rides->Import->[select the file]

yes right (history->All rides->Import->[select the file)

good question yours.....I guess you need the timestamp to import the ride and have the cycling data....otherwise you can import only as a route

In that case http://gotoes.org/strava/Add_Timestamps_To_GPX.php should fix it. No luck.

I think I'll give up for now

Thanks again rapasave

You can not import a .gpx as a ride for the history. You can have a .gpx to use as a route go load from the route screen.

The import will take a .ipp file which is what I added it in for so I could look at people files for issues easily. It will also take a .fit file but I don't expect it to be perfect. It will only look at the second by second data and then do the equivalent of re-evaluate stats.
