If you have trouble registering then email support @ iforpowell.com and I can force things though.
The system is not that good but I prefer to spend my time working on IpBike than trying to set up an alternative. It is at least good at keeping the spam away.
It is advisable to 'copy' before you try and post as the captcha stuff is a bit to agresive and the back buttone is not working for everyone. You can at least then paste and have another go.

Sorry, I know this has been requested many times before, but I find myself looking to other apps to do what ipbike does + route following, or have ipbike on and starting another app for the follow, or abandoning ipbike for certain rides.
I usually get away with just turning the screen on and having a look at the route, but with trips coming up 7 hrs plus I need to eek everything out of the battery life (I'm slow or rides are long, or both!). I need to be turning the screen on less.
The settings that need to be available for a route alarm are:-
How far from route for alarm to start- e.g. 150metres
How far from route for alarm to stop- e.g. 500metres
Time between alarm notifications- e.g. 20 seconds
(I can't remember if 150-500m is sensible or not, but you get the idea)
This means if you deviate from route points by 150m, the alarm sounds, and continues to every 30 seconds, until you're either near the route again, or you've deviated by a long way (500m) - on purpose one would presume. After deviating the alarm would sound again when you come back to the route, passing under the 500m mark, and that's fine- it's an indication you're returning to the route.
Alarms have been typically some sort of short sound/bell/alarm, or the TTS of 'too far from route'.
For bonus points, when there is a large distance between points on the route, can the app add in some extra points, because I've experienced false alarms with other apps from riding up a roman road- it being so straight the generated GPX has only a point at the start and end of the road and simply riding down the road gets you quite far from the route points.
Cheers,
