Added a blog section to the site.  I need to sort out the templates a bit as things are not looking so good.

The system is not that good but I prefer to spend my time working on IpBike than trying to set up an alternative. It is at least good at keeping the spam away.

It is advisable to 'copy' before you try and post as the captcha stuff is a bit to agresive and the back buttone is not working for everyone.  You can at least then paste and have another go.

Hi Ifor,

I bought an Xperia Z3 compact phone due to barometric pressurue measurment for accurate altitude data.
(...and you have good experience with the phone also:-))
My accumulated ascent data is now perfect! But the descent data is terrible. The reason is the same as with my GPS only phone.
If I make in the forest 2 min. pause and I press the pause ride button, on resume at very first GPS fix the data will be immediatly logged.
And this is the problem! Because the very first fix after resuming the ride is inaccurate. That means in the first seconds jumps the altitude 100 meters higher and just after a few seconds descents to the right altitude.
This is the wrong descent data! Not always, but pausing in forest where GPS signal is weaker.
It would be the best if you could implement at resuming ride altitude data to record if GPS signal is better i.e. under 5-6 meters, or anyhow prevent by algorythm big altitude jump at resuming.

I think I have the solution....
Since a few rides seems everything correct:
I've bought an ANT+ speed sensor and I've set the GPS filtering to MEDIUM.
Now are my speed data, altitude data, GPS data, everything the best!
Even synchronized to Strava are the values 100% accurate ...
