Hi,
I notice the old live tracking website isn't available anymore.
Would it be possible for you to use GPSIES's free live tracking? I have seen another outdoor tracking app using this.

What other live tracking websites do IpBike users use? Shame about livetracking.io - used it often on long rides or when away from home to give family a live update. Looking for an alternative.
Any advise would be much appreciated.

livetrack.io was stopped after posts in the this is ant+ forum.

We could eventually bring livetrack.io back to live by contributiing to to Cyclenerds Gitub (the developer of livetrack.io)

I think it should be possible to convince Nils Knieling to bring livetrack.io back to live again. It fitted perfectly to IpBike, I don t know any other application appart from Garmin connect mobile from GARMIN which is controlled by GARMIN which would be suitable for a live-tracking service. There is another live-streaming service available now from Dave Lusty (Microsoft)IoT streaming:
https://forums.garmin.com/developer/connect-iq/f/discussion/8077/sending-sensors-data-to-pc/976852?focus=true
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_39eKRNK3UU&t=1s
Disadvantages of Dave Lusty (Microsoft) IoT streaming:
- only works with newer watches
- fee necessary for Microsoft Azure Cloud
- software developement could eventually be difficult
- no GPS
Nils Knielings livetrack.io, or something similar to that service, would be great as a free and open source project for people which love to develop new applications simply for the reason they love to do it. I would appreciate to have such a community project. I m not a software developer. I normally don t code. But I m expierenced in scrypting and debugging, and I love computers.
The reason why Nils Knieling stopped livetrack.io could be the following:
https://www.thisisant.com/forum/viewthread/7074
- in the configuration of the previous livetracking.io, every Matlab user would have been able to
stream over his service
- the service was not designed for Matlab users
- no time for developement
- other reasons
- I m not experienced with GITHUB. But Nils has several projects there on his GITHUB. And it might be worth trying to contribute to his this project there.

Live Tracking, Live tracking for data nerds is available again:
https://github.com/PeterGamma/What-happened-to-livetrack.io-/blob/master/README.md
but the domain LiveTracking.io has been sold, and now it is only available for food manufacturers:
https://www.livetracking.io/
therefore, a new domain is needed, which is supported by ipBike.
