If you have trouble registering then email support @ iforpowell.com and I can force things though.
The system is not that good but I prefer to spend my time working on IpBike than trying to set up an alternative. It is at least good at keeping the spam away.
It is advisable to 'copy' before you try and post as the captcha stuff is a bit to agresive and the back buttone is not working for everyone. You can at least then paste and have another go.

Virtual partner has been on the todo list for a long time. I was almost going to get started on it when I got distracted with W'balance and the wind sensor data instead.
First and most fundamental step is to track your position against the loaded file. I have nothing tracking your position at all at the moment. You can go anywhere compared to the route and IpBike has no idea. Tracking a route while you follow it closely is OK but as soon as you deviate a bit picking back up when you get back on track is none trivial. Add in loops and out and backs stuff and it gets harder still... Once the next update with recorded stats and logging for W'balance and wind are out the next job is a total re-write of the plotting back end so I can plot all the new stats and easily add in new things to be plotted. I will probably look at being able to save plot configurations and add some more look and feel control. That will push any VP stuff back a few months as things are getting stupid at work again... At some point things will ease off and I will have a few weeks of holiday to take. Would be enought if you receive an Alert when you ara gong out of the planning travi. ..it is also useful during the navigation Thanks Save |

May 09 2016, 06:35 Hello Ifor, would be possible in the next releases to add the possibility to choose another icon for the navigation on the map. the ipbike icon is cool but too large...the alternative icon is too small thanks save |

May 09 2016, 06:52 I'd love to see option for some other icon as well. I'm using the alternative (cross) but it's visibility is a bit lacking. |

Aug 08 2016, 10:03 Hello Ifor, I know this is a request already dome more times...but if you can implement the "out of the track/trip" function will be very useful thing. Last month I rode 3 long rides (more then 350km) using often the map where I had loaded a trip. Nothing to say but some times I skip some turns, so I took wrong streets... I was with my bike's mate, he has a garmin with this function...in opposite case you are forced to see every 10 second the screen This function will be the cherry on the cake (as we say in Italy) for Ipbike Thanks saverio |

Jan 18 2017, 07:20 Hello Ifor, would you please add the possibility ,when you backup the database enabled by the purchasing of IPBIKEKEY to restore also the settings. Actually I save completely the folder and I keep the bike's database but the other settings are lost Thanks in advance for our support save |

Jan 23 2017, 21:21 Out of route type stuff needs tracking the route against the current position which is something needed for quite a lot of features like this or virtual partner or live segments etc. So it's something I do want to add but it's a none trivial thing especially with support for out and back or multi lap type stuff. Some time I hope to look at it but first the plot stuff needs reworking. The issue with the settings is really a security concern. The upload sites that require a password and user name rather than using an oAurth flow have the password stored there. This means I really can not just save the file to the sdcard as that is basically freely accessible to any app. |

Jan 24 2017, 09:19 Hello Ifor This is my wish and I'm glad if you find it interesting: I'd like to config multitouch (two fingers would be optimal) to activate 'pause trip' 'stop trip' 'lap' buttons. Why? When I swipe down from top to show the notification bar its too easy to tap on this buttons and pause or stop the track. Thank you Rinaldo |

Jan 25 2017, 18:00 Start your swipe off screen Rinaldo and go down below the buttons and it should be perfectly reliable. The buttons should only fire if they thing the finger down and the finger up was within the extent of the button. |

Mar 31 2017, 07:38 Hi, It would be great if we could move the lines up an down after having configured a screen. We only can "add" lines at the end. Sometimes, I have to delete the entire screen I have created and recreate a new one because I have forgotten to put a data in the first line (top of the screen). Thanks a lot. Great great App. |

Apr 03 2017, 09:26 Hi, wouldn't it be possible to adjust power reading, after closing the trip, with wind speed readings from weather underground ? For example, this feature is used to compute power with the GPS2PowerTrack plugin in Sporttracks. Thank you |

Apr 03 2017, 09:46 another wish Ifor.... would be possible to add a separate screen with elevation profile (I think would be ok also the plot already present in IPBIKE) of the route loaded? Perfect would be also to add a icons that follows the profile in real time so you know exactly in witch position you are. Thanks save |

Great great App. You can insert stuff mid way just long press on an item and select add the line or group and you get added in after the current line so all you can not easily do is ad right at the very top. Elevation profile yes I am aware of this one, it needs the basic tracking of your position against a route to do it acceptable and that still is not there. I am not that keen on the post processing stuff IpBike really is aimed at real time stuff rather than post ride analysis. If you want real time wind then take a look at the Weather meter. |

[/url] Yes It works but the new line disappears when I tap the line above. I have to tap again to get the new line back. Before Line 1 Line 2 New Line created under Line 1 Line 1 New Line Line 2 If I tap on Line 1, I get Line 1 Line 2 If I tap again on Line 1, I get Line 1 New Line Line 2 This is a little bit annoying if I wear gloves and can't tap on the screen with it. Thank you very much |

May 14 2017, 16:57 OK your missing the distinction between a 'Line' and a 'Group' Basically a group contains multiple lines that can be collapsed into a single space and then expanded out by pressing. Add groups if you don't want this type of functionality. See the Customizing the display page. |

May 30 2017, 23:44 Not sure if it's been mention earlier or if even possible... There's an option to force landscape / portrait mode. For me, though, on both an s4 and Sony arcs this option only seems to take effect when the trip has started. This is annoying at times as I want portrait mode but the phone switches to landscape just before the trip starts. I then have to stop/restart to get back to portrait mode. It would be good if screen orientation could be forced when up bike is active rather than from when the trip starts. |

Jun 02 2017, 21:29 Sorry it's a bit hidden away but there as an option for force it. Settings -> Audio visual settings -> Brightness, Alpha, haptic -> Main screen orientation. |

Jul 07 2017, 13:54 I would like to have the option: "SPEED BELOW (1-5) KMH WILL THE SPEED ZEROED AND LOGGING STOPPED" If I stop at traffic light for 1--2 minutes, the average speed drops dramatically, because the GPS sensor often receives low speed data also in standing position. This option exists also in my old Garmin 500 GPS cycling computer |

Jul 19 2017, 21:31 There is a minimum speed already but it's fairly low as it's basically tuned so I can walk up mountains and not have myself stop starting all the way up. In your position if the gps is jumping around that much then increasing the filtering level for the bike. Of course the real solution is to get a proper speed sensor I did not all in all that support for sensors for no reason. |
